Vilhelm Konnander is a specialist on Russia and Eastern Europe, focusing on international relations and security. Konnander has previously served as President of the Swedish Society for the Study of Russia, Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia - the national "branch organisation" for regional analysts. The Society organises the VIII World Congress of the International Council for Central and East European Studies  in Stockholm in 2010. Konnander currently works as a consultant for various companies, authorities and organisations.
