Main areas of responsibility were general security policy and Sweden's geographic vicinity.
This contained inter alia Sweden's policy of non-alignment, East European Security
Policies, the Baltic Sea region, and security enhancing measures including security sector
reform (SSR).
Swedish Armed Forces Headquarters: Analyst & Editor for Long-Term Defence Planning
October 2003-December 2004
Analyst for and editor of the annual Swedish Armed Forces' report on
long-term defence planning (10-20 years). Coordinator for Armed Forces' participation in
the Swedish Defence Commission for
its 2004 report Försvar för en
ny tid (Defence for a new time). Participated in the elaboration of the first
Swedish EU Battle Groups Concept. Directed long-term defence studies and research
conducted by Swedish defence authorities.

Coordinator of an international research conference on Russian security
policy forming the basis of an anthology on the subject. Editor of Russia as a Great Power: Dimensions of
Security Under Putin, Hedenskog, Konnander et al. (eds), London: Routledge, 2005. The Nordic Network
for Security Studies is jointly funded by the Ministries of Defence of Sweden, Norway,
Denmark, and Finland, and is administered by the Aleksanteri Institute of University of
Helsinki.

of Baltic Sea States Web Directory for the Baltic Sea
region and Eastern Europe

Creator of the internationlly most extensive web directory to the Baltic Sea region and
Eastern Europe, comprising well over 2,000 links. Its focus is on regional issues and
society and cultures in the 12 countries of the area. The directory is searchable and
divided into country and thematic sections. Baltic Sea States has received international
attention, e.g. by RFE/RL-Online and British Library.
Interpreter & translator
2001-2003
Commissions as interpreter and translator of Russian/Swedish/English for various
organisations, companies and authorities, e.g. the Swedish
Institute. Official Russian translator for the Swedish
Ministry for Foreign Affairs' Commission of enquiry on Security Policy
- Peace and Security - Swedish Security Policy 1969-1989 (Fred och Säkerhet,
SOU 2002:108).
